ok, just came across this numbers / symbols mind reading thingy. Can some PLEASE explain to me how this works??? it's driving me nuts!! :-2:wah:

The table disguises, by having so many answers that can't happen, that the same symbol is used for every multiple of 9.
The two digit number you are asked to think up can be written (10a + b)
You're told that the answer you look up in the table is (10a + b) - (a + b)
which is 10a + b -a -b
which is 9a
which is on the nine times table.
This is freaking me out!!

It all has to do with nines. Figure in 9's
