I was going to say...Guppy beat me to it...MSN might just be down...I couldn't get in last night for some crazy reason, but working fine now...I work for a IT company and wish I knew what the tech's do to help you more...but my un-educated guess if you uninstalled and reinstalled is that it is MSN and not your computer.:-5

tmbsgrl can you get into the control panel and look at the USER ACCOUNTS and make sure they all have administrator right. If you don't that might be the simple solution change to "ADMINISTRATOR RIGHTS". If you can't then restart the computer and logon as the Administrator (usually no password requires unless you set on for administrator). Once your on as administrator you can change the right of any user account, then restart and logon as yourself.

Also sounds like you may need to run virus scan..
