My home is red - retro '50's - red & chrome tables - coca cola machine & soda dispenser etc. RED

Family room I made lamp shades red & white check, red throw pillows - RED,

with a splash of yellow. Not everyone would like my decor. Everone's amazed at my decor when they enter

I don't know about that get up & go business !

I collect alot of things - Red of course - red handle rolling pins - red handle kitchen gadgets '50's - ruby red glass ware - enamel ware with the red trim - I decorate with all this stuff, its not sitting in boxes. I've had magazines requesting articles/pictures, I've never done that - privacy issue, maybe someday. I'm still trying to get a couple rooms finished. One wall in the living room is all old framed sheet music, love it. very unique.

I've always wanted to be a interior designer. I can assemble (sort of speak) using all colors. I would love to use creams/tans in a room, but I have a husband,

that sums that up as a can't do..

A unigue way to display my rolling pins - I use the metal part of the garden rake.

Metal rake cradles the rolling pin. I use these rakes cradling the rolling pin as a curtain valance, love it. To display my red kitchen gadgets, I use the old tie racks.

The old tie racks that come away from the wall and spin around, most of the '50's kitchen gadgets have a hole in the handle so I hang them on these tie racks, love it.

One room I'm working on - I'm using old yard sticks as a chair rail. Old sticks, that has to have old advertisment on them, love it..

No, I'm not a interior designer - but I do have different ways to display - so if anyone has a collection and a dilema and decorating, I'd be happy to try and help.

Thanks for the interest

I don't hold back on my stuff and ideas - my husband has been collecting stuff so we have that in common. Thank God he collects 49ers - they're RED, so theres a couple of sports walls for 49ers. If he collected like the Broncos (blue) he wouldn't have a wall..!! Our collecting is fun - I'm now collecting ash trays, with advertisment - what I'll do with all them, I'm not sure yet - they'll be absolete soon, you use to be able to get a ash tray as a souvenier from Niagra Falls, Disney etc. - those days are gone..

I love pastels, lilac, peach, yellow. Red and purple clash and look great! Can't stand brown or green, alone or together.
