Yes my countrywoman is back again at last, I didn't want to say hello in the malignancy thread, too much of a bad scene in there. I am delighted you are back for a while anyway, do fill us in on whats been going on and I will let you know how I have been in the not so sunny south east, shocking storm last night, power went, cable went, next door tree blew down, car OK though so no worries. So, how's life?

Hello Aussie Pam,
I'm not too bad. Had a bit of a chaotic year.
We moved from the awful apartment we were in and I had to survive on Internet cafes for a while. Horror.
I broke 2 bones and quit my job.
It's been a bit mad but all's well that ends well.

Hi Galbally
Nice to see you.
Yeah the weather is mad isn't it. I think I saw one of ZZ tops ex band members starting to build an Arc in Cork the other day
As I just reported I've had a mad kind of year. Can't say I won't be sorry to see the back of it but I'm an eternal optimist most of the time and I'm hoping that 2007 will be less exciting.
:)

Gosh Jenny - you broke two bones!!! Do hope you're completely mended now and happily moved. Does sound like a chaotic year!!
How are you going Galbally? Just occurred to me the other day, by the way - I think you speak French - that your name means curvaceous, shapely.. grin.
Shall we give him a hard time, Jenny?

I haven't been in Ireland for years, Jenny. Hope to change that in 2007, though. Long overdue. My first trip we came on the boat.. Swansea to Cork? I think. I got no sleep and we arrived about 10am. This is a true story. I don't normally drink in the morning, grin, but we were parched and found a great pub. The barman liked aussies, apparently. He told us they were still shut, but asked if we'd care for a beer while we were waiting!!!! Very fond memories of Cork!

That's Cool, glad that you had a good experience. Ireland has changed a lot over the years. It isn't as friendly as it used to be. We now have a lot of foreign nationals living here. Not everybody is happy about it. I say live and let live as the Irish went everywhere too didn't they? If you come over we have to get together. Would be cool :-4
