It seemed almost impossible for me to post a week of GREAT positive threads with out everything going to "hell in a hand basket"...I actually thought--I was going to make it...

Some of you know about my nephew..Sadly - he was given just 8 weeks yesterday..The beast has entered his lungs and lymph nodes... They sent him home to be with his family...

My mother was put back in the hospital Sunday night..she is being watched tonight and will be headed to Des Moines via ambulance in the morning.. I will be there with her for the week......

And lastly...if you haven't figured out our family needs prayers...we received a phone call tonight -telling us they found lung cancer on my sister...What did our family do - to rake such havoc in our lives.....I know I need to stay focused and not feel sorry for myself..BUT our family has lost enough....

Please pray for us.She has more tests on Thursday and is out in Ohio with out family...:-1

Just keep a candle lit for my nephew also---that he makes it through Christmas and has a peaceful death....try explaining that to your 9 & 7yr old...

She asked why we stopped praying for him to live..and I said--sometimes its ok that you pray someone dies...peacefully...and in their sleep...

I'm sorry for all that your family is going through...

It saddens me to think that such miss fortune could be so careless in whos lives it strikes next. Any time I feel burdened in my life I think about how others may have it ten times worse, I then pray for them, as I know that such may be drastically overwhelming. My thoughts and prayers will be with you and those you love. I sincerely hope that good news is to follow in your footsteps as soon as possible, as I'm quite sure anything less would be undeserving.

You all will be in my thoughts and prayers, and if there is anything I can do, don't hesitate to ask.

We are still here in the hospital in Des Moines... we don't know anything yet..mom had a scope to out rule problems w/ the tummy. She then had an ultra sound on her heart, legs, neck etc. to see if there is any blockages..We did find out yesterday that she has blockage in her Superior Artery and another one...3cm in the one that transfers blood to the intestine. Also there is a blockage in the artery that carries blood to the left kidney...

Thank you for all your prayers and good wishes...Hopefully my sisters tests come back today with some positive statements....

I am soooooooooooooooooooo bored.....we are thinking about going home to see our kids tonight and having my brother come up...but then again we will have to be back here in the morning for the angio....what to do-what to do!

And no matter what....it's always in the back of your mind, isn't it?

Well....I guess this is what we know...today she had her angio...I thought it was heart included and I was wrong..it was lower abdominal etc..We found out that her artery to her intestine is 95% blocked -this feeds the major organs and is called the Superior Artery...the celiac Artery is also blocked..the BIG thing that we are trying to figure out is how our hospital missed her kidney problems...Get this--her left kidney is dead..no bringing it back. The artery into the right kidney is 65% blocked..That is putting her function at 35%...we can't believe it..SHe has never even had a serous UTI! She has continued to loose weight..She has lost over 50 lbs and the docs kept telling us there was nothing medically wrong with her..Now we also found out that the arteries in her neck are 2/3 blocked...and that will be a completely different surgery after the Bipass...what a week! I never got home last night and now am just exausted...Does anyone have advice on how to handle a sibling that has a SUPERIOR ATTITUDE to wards everything?? God--grant me some strength.SOO

Oh, NOOOOO! I don't have a clue as to how anyone could begin to deal with that many problems. I wish I had magic answers---and I don't, because nobody does!

"One day at a time" has got to be the only approach!
