Bless you, B'R! I've been going through the most painful physical therapy and every time I do, I think how much worse YOURS must be!

Well, I tell you Cher, I will never be able to ride my own bike again because the damage from the brain injury I went through has caused me to go blind in my right eye. Can't ride a scoot safely only looking out of one eye. I could ride a trike, but that is a LONG way off unless my settlement from the drunk driver's insurance pays me off REALLY nicely. And I will absolutely get on the back of Bullet's. It's something that is in the blood, not something you can just turn off. My Mom is absolutely twisted that I'll get back on one.

Oh, by the way, just in case anyone didn't know, the guy who hit me....I actually hit him. He was going eastbound in the westbound lane, got through half his left-turn and STOPPED about 20 feet from me. Doing 40 mph., I had zero reaction time. If I'd had another 2 feet, I'd have gotten around him. I destroyed my bike and his parent's car. The dumbass had 2 outstanding warrants when the cops showed up and this was his 4th drunk driving incident, at 19 years old.

This is why I say mandatory prison time the FIRST time you drive drunk. I have NO tolerance for these asswipes!

Oh Criss, so sorry to hear that!!!! Never heard that in any earlier info posts. Anyway, now yeah, go after that "pond scum drunk", & get some big $$$$$$!
On a side note, can see/understand your Mom's concern, she loves you very much, as so does your FG family!!! WELCOME BACK OFFICIALLY!!!

LC now that's a bike BR can handle protection all around and still looks wicked..:driving:
BR the idiot deserves jail time, it should be no different than if he pointed a gun at you drunk. The car is a weapon in my book.
Is there any chance in hell you will regain any vision in that eye..???:-6

Again, no argument from this end.
No, there is no chance I'll get back the sight. The nerve behind my eye was given such severe damage that it was in small pieces and the neurosurgeon had to put 28 titanium coils in my head behind my eye to cause the blood just to flow right. As it was, it took them long enough to figure THAT was why my right eye was popping out, the blood flow was pushing it out.

Bullet's not so great these days. He's only been able to see his kids once in the past 6 months and with the holidays coming...well, he could think of a few better place than prison to be right now. Thanks for the concern, Pants.

His parents started out pretty intelligent when they refused to bond him out of prison, but as soon as they found out he'd have to sit there over Christmas, out came the checkbooks to bring him home. I was impressed with the "Tough Love" I thought they had, but it turns out, that was a total farce. I get to look at his face in his suit and tie every court date. It's like a party. :yh_eyebro I keep my eyes looking dead into his, and he refuses to even LOOK at me, the piece of sh!t.

BR, sorry to hear that there isn't a chance for the eye. Damit I hate drunk drivers with a passion.
I haven't written Bullet in a month I will have to get back on it. I just got so worried for you after the accident all I could do was come and read everyday about your progress. I didn't even post much then except in your thread it was to gut wrenching and I didn't want Bullet to pick you on my sadness..
Bummer about the eye awful at best the idiot should lose the vision in his eye as well seems fair to me..

HaHaHa!! But please, as my MADD representative told me, it's "Crash." Never "accident" because this kid knew exactly what he was doing and he did it on purpose. :yh_bigsmi :yh_wink

At least your bike club mates can come over and take you out though, so you can get a buzz out of it that way!
Oddly enough Pinkster, Bullet has decided to quit belonging to an M/C when he gets out. I couldn't be more thrilled about it, considering the sh!t-pile club he's been in since Feb.
But, I've had MANY brothers from the old club checking on me!! :-4
