and what do you think. my friends church in jewett city was the issue. they want him to stop playing the christmas music and ringing of the bells. certain people were coming through town and said it was too loud. they are going to bring him to court if they do not stop music and bells. people in town love the music. i hope he keeps them ringing they are so pretty.

Depends how loud it is and the proximity of my house to the noise.

If it, say, rattled the dishes in my cupboard then I might be against the ringing of the bells.

If it was a distant chiming heard from my back porch then I'd find them charming.

"During the holiday season, the government-owned, church-enshrined sound system does play Christmas carols. Borough Warden Cynthia Kata told The Day: “If there is one of the songs that they find offensive, I'll take it off. But I'm not going to get rid of 'Jingle Bells' or 'Santa Claus is Coming to Town' because some nut doesn't like it."

Sounds as if these people, who have perhaps made a religion of being atheists

(insert other terms as desired) are simply self-publicists.
