Thanks Koan for pointing out something that should have been obvious to me. We needed a thread about this for all and not just a man to woman point of view.
So, men and women, what do you want in a romantic partner?

I want someone who will tell me anything.
Who won't hide when they are facing something uncomfortable
Who I feel I can tell anything to.
I want to be able to be myself 100% when I'm around them and know that they don't change anything for me either.
I want to be able to fight and not have to worry about them packing a suitcase.
I want to be able to cry in front of them.
Someone I can't wait to see every day.

"A romantic partner"? Expound, briefly, if you please. I've got to get into my bag
now, so more tomorrow maybe. It's absolutely perishing, here, surprised this
'puter works...

Romantic partner such as a spouse or lover.
Goodnight Bill. Sleep well.

I appreciate your opening it up for homosexual couples, RedGlitter.
We have over 6000 members now at FG.
I like to think we are open minded and accepting here.

Right Koan. No problem. When I posted the original thread, I was just thinking mostly of myself instead of everyone. Thanks very much for bringing it up!

No problem, floppy.
I just asked why women couldn't reply about what they look for in a woman and RG decided to write a new thread that is open to all.
I think it's great.

Nope, not at all, I don't think. But if we had a man and woman thread, we'd need a woman/woman thread and then a man/man thread and this way, everyone's included whatever their relationship is.

:wah: Nobody has to leave! You know me better than that guys, I'm not that PC. I just thought Koan had a valid point. It was just a point of consideration. Now get back in here!

I wrote what I want and then the whole thread went to hell.
Kind of like my search for what I want.
Go figure.

Thank you, I did.
Whether it's girlfriend, fiancee, wife - I would look for equality, and honesty.
They are probably the most important things, IMO (although I have possibly
forgotten to mention something, I'm sure more will be added by someone!).
Extra qualities would education, and various skills.

I think TV can be a huge problem.
Too easy to sit there and not think. Like putting life on hold. I can't believe how many hours of TV the average person watches.

I tolally agree with that. I also want to feel that I can grow as a person without them thinking I'm cheating on him. OMG, there are no men like that in the world.

Be spontaneous (No, buying chips instead of cooking doesn't count)
Not easily embarrassed

Pinky, you are so right! I get so tired of watching my husband falling asleep in front of the tv but expecting me to sit there and watch the stupid game even while he snores!!!
