............They came to the hospice room and took my sweet nephew at 4:30 today...and I wasnt there....I was here with mom...I shed my tears but inside I know...he is not suffering anymore....Pray someday there will be the cure...that damn cancer-has taken from this family way to many times....:-1

This may sound like a warped thing to say but - there's a relief in passing, the pain is unbearable knowing its coming but some of the torture is the waiting - if you know what i mean?, always a touchy subject.

Whats important mom is to celebrate the life that was, its what he would have wanted hugs you tight, liz

I am sorry to hear that you have suffered this loss mom, I lost my own father many years ago to cancer and I understand how very difficult is is. My sincere sympathies.

Hi. I haven't had a chance to get to know you yet but I would like you to know that I am very saddened for you and your family. I lost my mom in June to cancer and it seems like when you meet someone else who has been touched by this insidious illness, there is a connection of sorts. I am sorry and I wish you and your loved ones the very best. :yh_flower

Thanks everybody.....HIs wife was just here and we had many tears but a good laugh too....He was a HUGE Star Wars fan...and we decided that we are going to have God give us back Jay until we can order a casket that makes the Darth Vader sound when you open it...Do you think it would work??:-4

But seriously---I was kept sane by opening the computer at the hospital by every bodies sweet posts for him and my mother...I am home till after the visitation and funeral and then back to Des Moines to be with my mom..The in-laws have taken over her watch so we all could come home for the funeral services..:-4
