So, as New Year approaches and there are those who want to make a resolution, I think this year has helped me understand how, with words, we can either make or break each other. Let's all hope that 2007 brings a better year than we have had and that all wars do come to an end.

I feel if we can carry any lessons learned this past year into the next, then it would be all worth it.

I love how most people get so thoughtful at this time of year. As winter draws in, and in some places the snow begins to fall, we all seem to pause and reflect. Almost an emotional hibernation. And we all hold our breath until the first crocus breaks through to let us know it's time for a rebirth. The woolies are out, and the comforter quilts are drawn close. The logs are on the fireplace, and so we wait. The ice covers the ponds, and the winter comes full on. It gets real quiet. And we all get closer to share the warmth. Of our bodies, our fires and our thoughts. And so we wait. In the thousands of years mankind has been on the earth, this ritual hasnt changed one jot. There is something comforting in that.
