Not sure if this is feasable, but I would like to throw this out for consideration. Where I am, in Western NY State is fairly central to some of our Northeastern members....sort of. I would consider, helping to organize a get together in this area for any folks who may be interested. I would not be able to host more than 3 or 4 people staying in my home, but there are reasonable hotels near by.

I would , of course, have to talk this over with Rick first....if there was interest. There are some touristy things to do around here. Or we could just get together to hang out. I would propose some time during the second week of July..as that is when I take my vacation (I take mine when Kim takes her week off.)

So, I am just tossing this out as an idea.

I would love nothing more than to meet any of you...

although, I'm afraid I couldn't afford it at this time, and I blew the **** out of my '90 Camaro RS' motor...:wah: :yh_sungla so I had to settle with buying a used truck, and I'm afraid that it wouldn't make such a long trip(I bought it to specifically tow my race car to and from the local tracks here in Ohio, but to drive it for a continuous 10 hours or so would probably be the end of it)

So, I am left to say, "some day" "some day".

Besides broadway shows and David Letterman and SNL and Central Park and restaurants up the wazoo and world class art and museums and the nations capital what the heck is there to do in the NE ?

Marie I didn't see you on the member map, are you near the Allegheny National Forest?

hmmm, not sure how far I am from you...know I'm about a good 5 hours from NYC...I'll have to work on it...I love get togethers!!:-6

Wrong end of the state for that, Nomad. I am in WESTERN New York State..between Buffalo and Syracuse. Rochester...up by Lake Ontario. But we have museums here, casinos, not far from Niagara Falls and a trip into canada.

K, north. I am in Rochester, located between Buffalo and Syracuse. Up on Lake Ontario . I have been to Allegheny, though, many years ago.

Sounds like you had a marvelous feast. I am sure you enjoyed it a great deal. We had Turkey which i love very much. Swordfish is good, isn't it? I use to go Sword fishing in the summer. We use to spear them and it was quite the challenge but very rewarding when we were successfully.

If people need things to do maybe, you should have it at the casinos in connecticut. not to far from new york.

Well mine was the older style model...I don't really care for the newer style camaro models, but I do like the metallic silver '97 RS Camaro convertible...I think I will buy one. :wah:

But heres what my car looked like before I sold it.

Only mine was all grey, and didn't have the spoiler on the back.

I see you on the member map now Marie...actually you are only about 2 1/2 hours away from Cleveland, and it only takes me about 4 1/2 hours to get there...

but, like I said, My truck is just a temporary until I decide if I want to buy a big truck...or that '97 silver metallic camaro convertible. :wah: I'm serious too. I'm not really a big truck kind of guy, but I do need something reliable to tow my race car with.

I'd LOVE to meet up with any of you guys! I think the CT area would be a good option, too, as the casinos are great and it may be more centrally located for members. I'm open to any location, though. And July sounds just right for me, too.

Wow, I wonder how far the drive would be for us further south? NYC is about 4 hours away from here.

The would be a nice option for the easiness of travel aswell.I see buses from all over at that place.The whole east coast can some how finds its way there.

And there plenty too see and do there besides gamble.

I've just discovered that my long lost nephew lives in Rochester (near it) and it is an 8 hour drive from Virginia...So people that live near Baltimore...probably about 6 or less... I am trying to figure out a trip up there to see my nephew and would love to meet up with members at the same time...I am "WonderWendy" can DO it all!!:wah:
