I noticed your playing that alot !! - I use to play that, they changed the tiles and it screws with my eyes - the tiles are smaller and rounded. I'm stuck on BlackJack Solitaire. I beat Somebody21 once - he just couldn't leave my name in lights - brat..

Do any of my fellow addicts play at POGO? I like word jong there, too...but, Patsy, if you haven't seen it...the colors are better than the ones here. I've noticed the tiles here are hard to see.
It's nice to know I'm not alone in this addiction.
Just ONE MORE GAME....uh, HUH!

Carla, I'll tell you ..... but, first, you have to agree NOT to blame me if you get hooked, ok?
(Assuming your silence means agreement :wah: )
Mah Jong is an ancient Chinese game, rather like "concentration." There are tiles with various number/symbols which you must pair up in order to remove them from the board. Just click on a tile and then click on its match. If nothing happens, you've selected a tile which can't be moved. It takes awhile to see the layers--sometimes one pattern's harder than another.
The tiles are laid out in traditional patterns which are hundreds of years old.
When you play, the best strategy is to try to remove tiles from the top layer down, trying to get to a single layer, so no tiles are hidden.
My suggestion would be to go to
www.pogo.com and find a game there. It's easier to see the patterns/colors. No offence to whomever selects the game for the ARCADE here, but those are hard to see.
Pogo also has a game called "Animal Mah Jong" which is relatively simple and a good place to begin.
Good luck! :sneaky:
Those're my suggestions...anyone else want to share their methods?

Hiya Lulu, I have mah jong on disc. Its made by Hoyle and has a whole pile of different layouts which adds to the fun. A lot of the tiles also turn into little animated gifs when you click on them. They're very cute!

Well, you're off to a good start! The idea is to remove all the tiles! Remember, they're in layers....pyramids or other shapes and you can't move them unless they're at the edges. That's why it's important to be able to SEE the edges--which is easier at Pogo than it is here.
Nothing like beginning a new year with a new addiction.......:sneaky:

LuLu...try Shanghi2 here in our arcade. Tiles are bigger, and colors deeper. Plus you can pick your own layout and difficulty level.
I guess I am enabling now, right?
