Used to be a 10 second commute down the stairs to work but since we sold that business and moved it now takes about 3/4 minutes. i don't know how I cope with all the travelling:sneaky:

I can get in when I like within reason but I'm usually there by 9am to take deliveries of flowers in.

Today has been messy clean up, so GallyB I am glad you have not blown anyplace up trust me... no fun.

What was the cause of the explosion minks? Was it a gas leak? There was a chemical leak from a plant in England the other day, fortunatly I don't think anyone was killed. It was always something I was quite mindful of I must say, as our facility processed about 250,000 gallons of very, very flammable liquid a week, so it was essentially like working on top a small nuclear warhead, (which I always tried to impress upon the fellas working there). I have seen some small explosions in the lab (as its generally inevitable that they will happen, as with the odd acid burn, toxic spill, etc etc, they are not safe environments and you always need to be very respectful of that.

A whole week of lie - ins and watching the crap on daytime TV if you want to!! How I envy you. *sigh* Oh well, only another four weeks and I can do the same too!:wah:

I will try and avoid the Richard and Judy show if I can pinky! :wah: I promise I will be a good boy and be as productive as possible with my time, and of course also swan about a bit, as I am usually up to me eyes. So, you have holidays in 4 weeks, that is cool, one of the perks of teaching, though you need them after teaching someone elses kids for any length of time!

Yes, they always have that ability to delight and drive mad in equal measure, don't they? You gotta keep your cool though, and not laugh, or get into their level or your finished, like you said. What I found really tiring is that you can never really let your concentration slip when you are talking to them, its easy to forget that they are just kids sometimes, especially nowadays when they think they are so "knowing" about the adult world. Its a tough job, but an important and rewarding one, teachers should get paid more I think.

That is some serious getting up early, in fact you get up earlier than I often go to bed, which is not a great reflection on me. Still, I does me best. :)

Lithium batteries, our pack had a short, and it blew one of the cells, the entire shop and surrounging shops and ones upstairs filled with nasty smoke.... fortunately only smoke, and no fire. No one hurt.

Yes it can get quite scary at times. Not that much for me as for our family members. They tend to worry allot when the weather is bad.

Working from the Flat, waiting for a delivery (actually, it arrived but they missed half the order and had to go back for it).

I've been working since 07:30 with the odd break to look into the Garden.
