Christ, woman, how many Hitlers does the world need at any one time?
Maybe the other five thousand are quite understandably ex-directory?

Do you think most have changed name by deed poll & eventually they will all be wiped out?
If your name was Hitler, would you just put up with it or change it?

Also if you are male & you change your name by deed poll then have children, is there any referance on the childs birth certificate to your birth name ?

I read a news story a couple of years ago about a small town in the midwest (?) USA that had a street or a road named "Hitler". It was named for a 19th century German settler.
I'm sure there must be family links in the area. May well have changed their name by now.
Harpo Marx's given name was "Adolf", but he didn't use it, partially due to the irreparable damage inflicted on it by Hitler.

I am not sure if you knew this, but Adolf's brother Alphonse actually left Germany and moved to Ireland for some unknown reason in the 1920s, and yes he married an Irish woman, and yes they had a son, and he was (of course) called Patrick, so there was or is a "Paddy Hitler", I mean what can I say, the mind boggles????
Again.
Erm.

Your Paddy Hitler's the dad of the current American side of the family. I expect they tell people they're of Irish-Austrian extraction.
Both of Adolf Hitler's sisters, Paula and Angela, survived the war. Der Führer himself, had he managed to get as far as Argentina and safety in 1945, would now be 117 years old.

I do not know whether that even *exists* in German law. In this country (UK),
to change your name, you need only tell everyone that you have done it, and
expect to use that name in future (as long as you are not changing your name
for naughtiness, it's perfectly OK). There is no legal procedure that I know of.
The same goes for your children - you can just change their names. The name
on any birth certificate is very unlikely to be changed.

Well, the O means "son of" so it would have to be paddy O'adolf, and of course Herr Hitler never had any children himself as his marraige was cut short by the fact that he and his wife spent their honeymoon in a ditch, shot in the head, covered in petrol, on fire. It was different anyway, I will give them that. :wah:

Oh yeah, Adolf, he was a real chocolates and roses type of guy. Well, I think that they fact that he spent his honeymoon on fire in a ditch is at least some form of poetic justive, though considering his depravity, he got off pretty lightly really didn't he?

I heard a story a long time ago that Hitler had contracted VD during WWI. The treatment in those pre-penicillan days was measured injections of arsenic.
Appparently, this treatment left him in a state that prevented the "little soldier" from "Seig Heiling", if you get my drift.
This condition supposedly made him an even nastier S.O.B.

It certainly makes sense, and its the best argument for free love I have heard for a while as well.
