WOW! If you want to see Judi Dench in her prime...see this film. She's just "dead on" in a tale of unrequited love, deception, betrayal and obsession. Cate Blanchett is luminous, if not exasperating in her character's self-destruction. My companion said of the film that "These people are all leading overlapping lives in their own worlds." He's right.

See what you think. Both Judi Dench and Cate Blanchett have been nominated for Golden Globe awards. I think they deserve the recognition.

I had made a mental note to see this movie. Both actresses are two of my favorites. Very talented women. Ill make certain to see it now.

Good! Let me know what you think of the film. This is in limited distribution here and I'm not sure why, so I don't know anyone else who's seen it.

Oh--and let me know what you think of Bill Nighy's performance. He doesn't have a huge part, but what he does with it is lovely.

Haven't seen anything about this here yet, Lulu, but I'll check the Saturday newspaper.. not that I'm exactly getting to the cinema at the moment, but one lives in hope. Grin.
