So, I have finally had to call HP tech support for my laptop. I completly LOST my modem..could not find it anywhere...looked in all my drawers, in Trixie's cage..no where.

Anyway..I only had to be on hold for less than 2 minutes before I got this really charrming guy, up in Canada. After about a half hour of puttering around we managed to find my modem. Gee..it was still inside my computer...seemed to have been taking a break. :-3

So, I was afraid I would lose the ability to connect using my laptop..but all is well.

Maybe Trixie was playing hide and go seek. :wah:

Glad everything is sorted out Marie! And at least you only had to wait 2 minutes for someone to come on, and someone that you can understand. I've lost the number of times of endless waiting to only be greeted by someone that is in a bad mood and can hardly even speak a word of English!!

That is good to hear they have quick response and helpful advice!

Abby..if she was playing with my modem..now that explains the suspicious long distance calls.:p

Bryn...I barely know how I located the modem..forget anything else.

Had to do a "hard reboot". Took out the battery, unplugged the power cord..and then sat there like a darn fool holding the power button down for 15 seconds.

Put every thing back in and POOF..there it was. Go figure.
