I have one, it's cool. But it isn't on this pc. It's in storage now. But I used to use it when chatting with my friends in Egypt and other far away places. IT only cost $20 and it's easy to assemble.

I have one, cost me £8 from toys'r'us. Was fun to use for the first week or two but got bored with it and it now sits in a draw somewhere.

have one do not like it.

I use my webcam a lot to talk to my family in Canada. My mom saw me talking to my daughter with a microphone and webcam and was dumbfounded. She kept saying "tell her I love her" like Enya couldn't hear her say it. It took four or five times to explain to her that Enya could see her and hear her and no typing was required. Wow. Technology.

She was so impressed she sent me out to buy her one and install it the next day. You can imagine how long it took for me to explain what she had to click to use it. :rolleyes:

I have one. I bought it when I needed a microphone for Skype. The picture isnt very good. You have to move around a lot ( shifting light) to use it. Once, forgetting it was on..... I carried on a conversation, with Abbey, walking around my room in my underwear. When I realized, I thought she was going to think I was some kind of weirdo As luck would have it... the light was just right, and there I was clear as a bell....... I really would have been happy with just a microphone.

My webcam light is always on. If I ever got caught within the first hour after I wake up I'd probably never live it down.

My mom has just got one. She wants us to get one now. So we will be off to the 'puter store soon.

It was all ok with the web cams until I saw where they were. Apparantely they were in a lecture theatre of 300 people and they were broadcasting my image on a big screen straight from their webcam! They had chosen that point to demonstrate how quick and easy it was to use and I was the only silly bu**er that was awake at that time!

I remember vividly wishing I'd brushed my hair as they turned the lap top round and I saw all these people waving at me!

Webcams..... They allow people to do things in the internet public that they cannot or will not do in real life

Yes I have a web Cam. Wife uses it to talk to family members. What is Skype? I have never heard of it.
