I bought some Eco balls for my tumble dryer, they're supposed to save drying time by a quarter.

Good job really because they're so ruddy loud banging and crashing around.

The noise is awful, what i save on leccy and softener i spend on earplugs! :wah:

You can't rap them with rubber or anything?

To keep the noise down obviously.

I wonder if they're the same kind of dryer balls I have? Mien are blue rubbery stuff and they have rounded nubs all over them. They're supposed to eliminate the need for fabric softener, prevent wrinkles and cut drying time. I like mine but if I don't have a lot of clothes in the dryer, they do tend to bang around. :)

The same!

A very eco friendly lady i met on the net from Canada used them but i could'nt get them in the UK, til yesterday.

I'm a little worried they'll take the paint off the inside of the dryer.

I don't think would take the paint off, Abbey. I expect they'd be about the same as if you ran a pair of sneakers in the dryer. I think.

I think I might look out for these things for my machine, or perhaps try to invent silent ones, it could make me a few quid.

They do actually, they cut the drying time right down.

They cost £9.99, i did'nt use softener in my wash and they fluffed my towels like a good un.

Mind you, they did give me a headache. :-2

I had some of these balls and gave them away, because they were inefficient.
