most of us have been madly in love,have the "love of our lives"in our head.we are sure no one will ever measure up to them,them wham!!!it happens again!and its stronger than the first,no-one will measure up to this one!!will they???has it happened to any of yous?

You can always find love, I dunno, this whole love thing is a bit of grey area really as far as I can see, its hard to know what to think really? I don't worry about it any more.

All loves are different - you can't compare - and don't make someone measure up to the last one. And in time someday you'll realize " he wasn't all that ".

After a while, well, for me, either boredom or pain sets in. Boredom means I've fallen out of love, pain means he has.

Either way, the initial feeling makes me feel so incredibly alive that it's worth every second of the disillusionment that almost inevitably follows.

All of the great loves, eventually caused me great pain. I really dont know what it is anymore. The memory of anyone definately fades after a while.I hate to be cliche but Ive evolved into believing that the best time spent really is trying to love and be kind to yourself.

I was totally in love with my ex husband but after 3 years we split and i was left devastated. I then had another relationship which lasted for 2 years, i don't believe i loved him we just got along, more like brother and sister in the end (including the arguments). I met Jim when i was 23, and it was literally love at first sight, despite all his annoying jokes! Within 2 weeks we were living together, for the first 6 years it was a very passionate relationship, my god did we argue, but we never went to bed on a row. We have had many up and downs over the years, but my life doesn't seem complete without Jim in it, I feel very lucky and feel that i have meet my soul mate.

Love for me this time has been far better, but i do feel that as you get older you appreciate your partner more and have greater patience and understanding.

Jim has definitely been the great love of my life.

as has been said ,there are many different types and degrees of love.ive been there a few times in my life.the first love was when we were both just teenagers ,but it was very intense,i fell in love with her face,i also fell out of love with her personality,but still her face haunted me for years and years after.the second was my wife which lasted for 28 years,it was very one sided tho,sadly she died but fortunatly we were on good terms at her passing.ime in love again ,but this time i have absolutly no doubts that she loves me at least as much as i love her.we went to a posh london hotel the other night ,as i asked the maitre dee to find our table ,i introduced my girl as my wife,it just seemed to be the right thing to do...it felt good for us both.....watch this space

i have too many friends that have found true love and i see it everyday between them....i'll never give up the dream of it for myself......:-6

My first love was when I was 17. It was very fast, very intense, and very brief. He left my house one sunny June morning, and was killed in a motorcycle accident that night. The heart wretching experience altered my perception of life. It made me more aware of time. It made me more spontaneous. It made me believe in fate, and it left me bereft, and wounded. I looked for him in every male I met, for years and years. The incident was responsible for my making some bad choices. If they had his eyebrows... I gave it a whirl. Tomorrow January 25th would have been his 56th birthday. I have never forgotten him. I have never found him in anyone else, and I have never felt the way I did with him, with anyone else. A broken heart can lead you down a path different than the one you would have chosen if you were whole.
