I was referred to another forum where I joined. And it's basically a bashing place. IT's like a place where ppl go to get out their anger. And I don't go around using the f-word constantly in real life. So why would I do it online?

I know others here are using that forum too. But I'm not gonna any more.

Just had a look at the site and it's BAD, I read one of your posts and it seemed pretty bad to me, was you being serious?

Are we talking about Rant-Rave?

If so, I stay away from that place. Too much anger and mean-spiritedness going on for me.

RR is not for the thin skinned, however, there are some really nice people over there. Had she not fled the forum, she would have seen that.

I thought cinamin had some guts going right to the ranting forums. Folks usually come in slow and hit the general section first, where things are much more pleasant. She came in with a great rant (hence the name of the forum, get it?) yet couldn't hack it. Won't be the first.

However, all forums have their disadvantages sweetheat. This one won't put up with the language you have. The best part about your visit was asking why we all cuss, then proceeded to cuss yourself in great big bold, colorful letters.

For those members here who are wondering what the name of the site is that saffron/cinamin keeps whining about here, I'd tell you it, but apparently I'm not allowed to post links to other sites as a new poster, but I'm a member there.

I can't even believe that someone could be so ******* stupid as to post a thread that has anything to do with a woman being beaten. As if there isn't already enough violence against women in this world.



She makes regular raids on it to stir the ****, not to mention making personal attacks on members in public and sending abusive PMs, and then comes back here to whine about not being welcome there (and to try and tell you that she never swears :rolleyes: )

I apologise to members here for intruding on YOUR site, I seriously HAVE tried to avoid the tempatation to come on here and tell you the OTHER side to the story, and I'm sure you'd like ME to just stay on my own turf........but I'm finding it quite sickening reading her 'I'm a victim' posts.

PS It's not the forum you've mentioned, it's a board about Egypt.

I know you don't know of the thread in question, but cinamin started this particular thread, including stating in the original post that this thread would **** some people off but so be it (or something like that). Then when people did get riled, she was all like "what???".

And people were coming to her defense about speaking her mind which is what we strive for. However, don't go barking if your not gonna back it. I'd say that rule goes for any forum.

The problem is, Pinky, that the board I'm talking about is (as I said) a small board, not many posters (I believe she also started a topic called 'small boards with not many posters' recently ) and OK, sometimes we have fights and fall out with each other, but we generally get along pretty well together.......UNTIL saffron comes along with some aggression to get rid of. She stirs the ****, does a bit of name calling and personal attacks, sends a few abusive PMs (mostly to me, bcs I have a friend who's an admin on ANOTHER board she fell out with, and she bears a grudge).......then, once she's stirred it, she comes back here and tells everybody how nasty everybody is to HER.

I know what your saying Pinks, I had a look at the site which Cinamin was talking about and to be honest with you she was the worst offender in a thread she had started and the subsequent posts, a bit like the pot calling the kettle black. I'll be truthful i found it offensive but i didn't have to read it, but why come here complaining about the things which she is doing?

That isn't saying I don't like her cause I do, it's just that we don't share the same views on certain things

Then, when members of the other board object to one of their members being personally attacked, she turns on THEM, saying they're all brainwashed and part of the 'club' and EVERYBODY gets it from her.

And THEN, she comes back here and starts topics like this one.

Anyway Devistate is correct, it's not a place that's all happy. The language offends me (as far as it can anyway since I'm generally not affected by people's choice of lingo) and there are some jerks there, however for real discussion without all the pc and wristslapping we have in some other forums, it's a good place to go. Cinamin, I'm sorry you didn't care for it but you tried I guess. I knew from your first post you were jumping in before testing the waters. If the language bothers you more than the actual content then it's best not to go there.

Excuse me, RedGlitter, a couple of points.......

a I kind of THOUGHT I'd probably get this reaction, bcs guess what, that's the reaction saffron got on the Egypt board. Did SHE stay away? did she ****, which is why I decided to visit HERE to repay the compliment.

b When members of the other board reacted the way YOU just have, saffron then started attacking THEM.....should I now start attacking everyone HERE, and see if just maybe THAT puts a few people's backs up the way saffron did on the other board?

c I assume since you say 'we already know about the Egypt forum', that means she HAS been whining about it here, even if it's not the board that THIS topic is about.

d I offered saffron a truce, I'd stay away from her if she stayed away from ME, did she accept it? did she ****, she stepped up the attacks.

Okay, thanks for writing this. Exactly what I was trying to say was that certain physical traits aren't common. As in the differences between how people in my gene pool or my family traits look so damned different than say..................the short, brown bow-legged, stupid looking people who have faces that look like they are from a different lineage than people who I am related to. The way we look (and act) are so different that this is why I think they are from a more Neanderthalish kind of line. As opposed to how I and others in my background look, act, and think.

Your absolutly right! There is no problem with her post. However, when others started responding back to her in the same way, she called foul. That's where the problem lays.

Now, praytell, what do you consider rude? Was it the word "wench"? Certainly no offence was intended, and if you were to look at the first use of the word in dictionary.com, you can see that it is not insulting.

Why do people find it neccessary to "tell on" each other? How do you suppose these people find out what is said about their forum or when something is said on another one about the garden? Personally, if I went to another forum and didn't like it, I'd just stop going and not start a thread here about it.

I'll step up on this one. I just happen to drop by and hit "new posts". Otherwise, I'd never have seen it.

I've heard of this place Rant-Rave, they say it kicks ass and is ulta-addicting.
