with the same person? nah! You've still got the old stuff to contend with as well as the new. IMO if it didn't work before, its not likely to.

With someone else? nah! I reckon it gets better on about number 5 or 6:D

Even if I was single, Pinky, I would never go back with my ex-husband, even though he is the father of my grown children. My current husband loves me the way I am, whereas with the ex, I never seemed to measure up to his expectations of a wife and partner. By the way, the ex has re-married and divorced and is currently single. Imagine that.

I only gets better because the small stuff doesn't matter anymore. How did you know how many times I've been married??? :-2

Pinky;544307 wrote: I don't usually get into this, but I'm feeling quite good, so I'll tell you some of my story. I left my husband just over a year and a half ago, because I couldn't take his behaviour. I stayed at my parent's place while they were away for a few months and was happy to just have my own space. We were about to buy a house, and I suddenly realised that I'd be well and truly stuck, so I pulled out and left at the eleventh hour.

I met someone else in the meantime (bad idea, I was far too idealistic and it turned out he was a bullsh1tter with a live-in girlfriend, ouch.) fell in love, had my heart squished (again) and went back to normal life as best I could.

The hubs started making a real effort, coming round to take me out, things all went well and I was happy with that...living on my own but dating again.

Then pressure was put on me by both him and my dad to go back...I had nowhere else to go, so I did. Biggest mistake ever.

Things were fine for a while, but people creep back into old ways and habits, and money has always been a big issue to him. I don't think he's ever forgiven me for pulling out of the house and he doesn't waste any time in pointing out what I've spent because he earns double what I do. He's even tried to stop me going to see Hammy next week by Asking how I can afford the petrol money...he thinks he's keeping tabs on my account, more fool him.

So, with the main points there and without going into any gory details, sometimes old resentments are just too much to work out.Pinky thankyou so much for sharing with us x
