I don't know why sh ewould have left now and not sooner if the JW thread was the reason. I just looked at it again and I see nothing offensive (except for the physical abuse remark) there. People spoke their minds and have nothing to be sorry for.

Yes, religion again eh, such a non-controversial or potentially personally-hurtful topic for debate, well I am damn sad that MrsK has gone, I don't think from reading the thread that anyone had that intention starting out, they just forgot the old maxim "be careful when discussing politics or religion, and generally unless you know who you are talking to, don"t do it". Lesson learned again (for a while). This is why when I am discussing religion I tend to stick to really going to town only on my own (Catholic) while being equally down on all others in a non-ranked way, so I am generally down on religion, but equally down on em all. Anyway, its sad, it seems magenta and mrsK are gone, they were funny and interesting FG characters, I hope they come back some day. :-1

MRS K amongst many other fine people on FG gave me lots of support when mum was poorly,

I'll miss her dearly, as Gal said i hope they come back some day. :-1

The Vietnam war memorial thread was placed into the compost pile. Clipper had made some pretty inflamatory posts. I have a feeling this may be the cause.

I guess we have to realize FG isnt' for everybody. People come and go, and I can only hope they go for reasons of their own, not because others make them. And I hope they realize, that not ALL of FG is awful.

You got it Pinks, and as well, folks come back in here when it strikes their fancy, some come back because they didn't like other places, or they were away because of RL, some come back to support friends here when they are in a pinch and some just come back to kick up some dirt to see how far they can push others.

I guess it's all a matter of how personally each individual wants to take these issues.

I think what is the most maddening is hearing things like Abbey's recent email about someone telling her someone else said something bad... or folks posting that they are getting nasty PM's from others.....

I can't understand the reasoning for these personal attacks?
