I was just eating a white cupcake with chocolate frosting in it and remembered when I was a child about 5 that I used to love chocolate donuts like crazy. The kind that are yellow inside and chocolate on the outside. And then I got sick one day, the flu, and I ate a chocolate donut, it tasted awful. And since then I have not liked chocolate donuts.

Have you ever had that experience from eating something you liked at one time and then not liking it later for some reason?:yh_coffee

Do you think it might be a mental association with illness?....The reason I ask is that I used to love Jaffa cakes, absolutely loved em! Until that is, I was in Hospital recovering from heart surgery! Everybody knew I liked Jaffa cakes, and would bring me a few, when visiting.....I don't know why I just couldn't stand the taste any more, I've never eaten one since, can't even smell one without gagging!.....That's been about fifteen years ago!.....

Yah I do think it has something to do with the illness. I read something about it a long time ago but can't remember.

It's only those kind of chocolate donuts though. Come to think of it, I don't like donuts that much now either....any kind.
