Regardless of where you stand on the issue of the U.S. involvement in

Iraq, here's a sobering statistic:

There has been a monthly average of 160,000 troops in the Iraq theatre

of operations during the last 22 months, and a total of 2,112 deaths.

That gives a firearm death rate of 60 per 100,000 soldiers.

The firearm death rate in Washington D.C. is 80.6 per 100,000 persons

for the same period.

That means that you are about 25% more likely to be shot and killed in

the U.S. Capital than you are in Iraq .

Conclusion: The U.S. should pull out of Washington

Chookie, that "joke" is both sour and utterly inaccurate. Read the comments on http://www.websitesecurityinformer.com/ ... C-232.html for a discussion of quite how inaccurate. An order of magnitude inaccurate and them some more.

Here's a clue. You can't turn something which has led to hundreds of thousands of excess deaths into a humorous topic, that's called bad taste. You can provide a "sobering statistic" so long as it's reasonably supportable, that's called information.

Build a bridge it was meant as a joke.

Humor

Frivolity

If you didn't take it as that so be it.

Some of us took it as humor, ask Chookie if it was meant to be a joke.

After all it is her thread, not yours.
