Recently, I got a check for about 36 bucks in the mail... apparently,

unbeknownst to me, I had been part of a class action suit against a

major cable company!! I hadn't had them in years, and how they got my

address I'll never know, but hey, better than a poke in the eye with a

sharp stick!!

Something like that happened to me once.... when I was 20 I bought life insurance form Prudential insurance here in Canada.... and a couple of years ago they decided they were dropping all all Canadians because they were going on the US Stockmarket....



So one day I received a letter and a check for 2 grand, and a new policy with a new insurance company they had transfered me to with all the same coverage.

Maybe You should have mailed them back saying you were expecting $3,600 and see what happened?
