in my right hand fantastic i'm holding something big and round that will bring me joy for the rest of the day, thats right the rolled up newspaper ,with the headlines that arsenal are out of the fa cup yeesss:-6
but on the other hand stitches , i put my hand through a 6 mm ply board a couple of weeks ago ,the board snapped as i bent it and the splinters dug very deep into my meat of my hand next to the little finger ,I got home Sue dug them out quite big but not big enough to cause the amount of pain i was in,when i cut my self before i have just got a needle and cotton and sewed myself up i'm not a wuss when it comes to pain .. though i do admit anything sad i cry like a baby ,but back to my tale of woe ,i felt like a wuss all that pain and blood for them .about a week later my hand started to hurt again i pushed deep into the meat of my hand and i could feel it about 15mm 3/4 inch long and the thickness of a matchstick (not that soberano)it was the splinter ,i got a stanly knife and tried to cut it out ,no good i even got sue to try even she could not get the knife through the flesh so last night i went to hospital ,they got these shears and just cut it out ,ok never hurt much at all ,i did have a pain killing injection ,but the they injected 3 loads of this brown stuff OMG my hand is now twice the size of the other one and it feels like its been put on a rock and smashed with a hammer , i was told it had started to get infected and i could of lost my hand if i'd left it much longer ... why do guys hate doctors so much , i made it ten times worse by not going and now i cant even drive safely ..... doh .... doh ....doh all for the sake of a bliddy splinter...doh :-5 :-5

how come docs are never ill yet they see really sick people all the time ,you would think they would catch loads of stuff
maybe they keep all the really good meds for themselves ...:sneaky:

Jimbo, how come guys will not go to a doctor if they are really bad? Are guys afraid of doctors? I just can not figure this out. I have alot of guy friends, and when they are sick they ask me what they should do, if I think they are sick enough, I tell them to go to there doctor. But, they will not, until too late. One of them had the flu very bad, had to be put in hospital, if he listened to me, would have had only meds. So, why are guys afraid of doctors?

Doctors are useful to
a) tell you what is wrong
b) stop you from dying in emergencies
Other than that, I'll fix it myself, thank you.
I've had more problems from side effects from pharmaceuticals than I've had causes to take them. Learn how to use herbs.

We are afraid they will find something wrong. This thread amazes me. I haven't been to the doctor for about 15 years. Last night I told my wife too book me an appointment for a full physical. For some reason just figured it was time.
