"That'll work"

or as we say it in the south, "'at'll work"!

I hate that expression

When people start a sentence with, 'basically', it's so common on chat shows. Drives me crazy! :-5

I know loads of people hate innit but I'm rather fond of typing it.

I don't say it but it speaks volumes in certain online conversations.

Apostrophes in plurals, that's a big pet peeve. "Should of" or "Would of" instead of "Should have" or "would have". "Irregardless"...argh. There's no such word. "I'm just happy to be here"...said on an hourly basis by a former boss. Sets my teeth on edge. I'm sure there are more; I'll think of them, no doubt.

HAHAHA! :wah: Me too!

Any rapper or dude who starts a sentence with "know whad um sayin?" Um NO! You haven't SAID anything yet.

"Whatever." That is so rude. It disregards anything the person you're talking to has said.

"Closure." Especially said after a death or a traumatic event. "So soandso can have closure. Got news for you. Sometimes there IS NO closure.

Peopel who call each other fake terms of endearment while fighting with them. This just happened to me and it made her look like a fool.

I'm with you! It's really bad grammar that get's my goat!

I used to have a friend that would say "Could of" instead of Could have.. he would even text it and I would cringe every time! We're not friends any more, but that wasn't the reason (at least not the main reason!) :wah:

Another pet hate is when people get your and you're the wrong way round... can't abide it! It takes everything I have not to correct it in a big red biro and say 'see me after class' each time!

I cringe at "You got it!" Can you have this on my desk at noon? "You got it!" It's so obnoxiously "can do."

Will you be my best friend? :wah: I'm the same. Finally someone else who isn't illiterate. Could of is so common. Others of mine are 'aswell' and 'alot', why do so many use them as one word when they're two?

Argh been watching something on TV and she kept saying, 'one doesn't do it like this, one does it like that' and similar. I HATE HATE HATE people using 'one' to start a sentence. It sounds so damn snooty and stuck up.
