At your place of business, is your immediate supervisor much, much younger than you? :-2
IF YES, HOW DOES THAT SIT WITH YOU? Are you agreeable to accept their directions without too much fuss?

I have been "supervisor" of people older than me and it doesn't always go over well but it depends on the person. I used to be a lot of fun to work with and it just takes time to get to know each other. Most of my friends are about ten years older so it doesn't affect me much.
I now supervise men. I expected that to be more difficult. It is no different. Some people are good listeners some people are not. I've decided it has nothing to do with age or gender.

basically the same age.. another Deadhead.. so life is good. But in the past I have worked with and for older and younger supervisors.. without many problems. it is all in how you approach it.. if you come into the situation witha chip on your shoulder.. then you are not gonna work it out.. Come in with an open mind and chances are all will be well.

My supervisor is older by about 5-10 years. I've had supervisors younger than myself. I've had to make myself look at how much experience they have, not how old they are, and that goes much better for me.

My imediate supervisor is a few years younger then myself. He is already a grandfather as he had a kid when he was still in high school.
