Well, MPs have voted for an elected House of Lords, rather than a wholly or partly
appointed one.
"Many MPs fear that a fully, or even predominantly elected Lords will challenge the
supremacy of the elected House of Commons, leading to clashes and deadlock."
*Isn't that what the House of Lords is actually FOR, to an extent?*
It seems to me that, should this become law, that little change will have been
made - previously, people were simply members by "accident of birth".
