I don't think we have the full story yet.
But anyone who can get up and do comedy is a hero in my book.
He was a very good writer aswell as a funny guy.
We will miss you platypus man.

If it was indeed a suicide, it's truly sad that people can suffer so much that death seems to be the only answer/escape. :-1
It breaks my heart.

I never really saw him in anything until his HBO show. I liked him a lot!
He doesn't look very good in that pic, I wonder if something was wrong with him.
The one thing I noticed during his show was how much he was always tugging at his shirt. That's usually a good indication that someone is not entirely comfortable in their own skin. Although, I will say he looked pretty fit to me. I suppose it could have been just a nervous tic.
What a shame. Why no one close to him noticed anything soon enough is a double shame.
I really thought he was funny

I agree. Anyone who can make me laugh automatically gets in to the Red Girl's world.

In soing a search on his name, I found this entry in a blog written by Elayne Boosler, another comedian. I am most interested in some of the comments by the readers. Read the one that mentions depression.
Not sure of the accuracy of that comment though, just sharing.
