I need sympathy, my tongue has hurt for a week, I dont know what I do in my sleep, but I can barely chew! Suggestions please.

If you don't know the cause then it could be a food sensitivity. Does it feel just swollen? Taste buds swollen? or like you bit it?

Oh Boy----this could be a case of Lingua Mora. It should stop hurting once you really speak your mind on an issue that has been bugging you. Tongues are very sensitive to repressed thoughts.

I had problem like that, went to dentist, I grind my teeth in my sleep, it hurt my tougue also, so, he gave me a night gaurd for my mouth, it worked.

I agree could be food sensitivity. Or, too much heat in your room. I wake in the middle of the night with my tongue stuck to the roof of my mouth, its awful. There is a product at the drug store called AMNOSAN. It is an oxygenating mouth rinse. I have used it to get relief from sore tongue. Antibiotics can also upset the surface of the tongue, as does red wine.

Thanks, I definately bit it though, wierd all the way in the back, it's been a week, and n o it's not from overuse as some person stated.Ha. Ha.
