Bread amongst the water - FOUND IT!

FOUND IT! Ecclestatastes 11 1 - 2 . "Cast your bread among the waters, for you will find it after many days. Give a serving to serving to seven, and also eight, for you know not what eveil will be on the earth..."
What it is saying is put others before yourself. On hearing I had been in a serious accident, a Christian Brother sent me £10.00 through the post and told me to buy myself some chocolates and fruit. I was most touched by his nature, and mildly embarrassed. After much thought, I have decided to put the money aside, and spend it at a church bazaar, or try and swell that £10.00 (parable of the talents)? by buying something on e-Bay and then trying to resell it at a profit before donating the original £10.00 plus any extra to the church or charity of my choice, and I was trying to find an appropriate biblical passage to endorse my intentions without causing offence.
