Has Anyone seen it?



I saw it yesterday!

My Son saw it and was going craaazyyy telling me about it...he loved it...I'm going Thursday to see it with the B/f....

tell the truth is it really gory?? I was okay with Braveheart...is it worse than that??

I was told that I'm allowed to cover my eyes...just need to know if I can still understand the movie in between!!

I dont think it was that gory.



Cant compare it to Braveheart, I never saw it!

Oh I have a friend who works in media, and he was telling me about this before, it looks brilliant, and I love the story of Thermopyle, so I will definetly go to see it when it comes out on general release in Europe. :-6

I saw it and I thought it was great. It is a little gory, but it's actually not as bad as the previews make it out to be. I really enjoyed it. I like that time period a lot.

Let me start by saying Im'm not baiting. I saw the movie and enjoyed it. Simply wanted to know if anyone else had seen it.

It's playing here at the IMAX I think that would be the way to see it. Bloody show sells out in like 3 hours.

Now if they want propaganda they should make a film about Vlad the Impaler. he was the one who impaled all his Muslim prisoners as a not so subtle hint to keep out. Unfortunately being an equal opportunity ruler he also impaled Christians and anybody else he didn't like but I'm sure the intelligence reports could be altered to paper over that.

Then again maybe the gay overtones would upset the religious right. after all impaling someone is a bit gay is it not?

Besides everybody knows Persia is a town in Iowa and Sparta is in Michigan. Who wants to see a movie about a football game.

Oh yea, lots of men in underwear too, can't complain about that.

The style and cinematography was beautiful but the film was hokey. Wasn't worth the admission ticket and popcorn.

I admit that it over-glorified the spartans a little, but come on, it was worth the admission!!!

well, this is coming from a person who gets to go the movies like two times a year, but still. it was good.

Okay, I went to see it last night with boyfriend...ummm to the people that said "a little gory"....pffftttttttttt...

I listened to it!! I had my eyes covered almost the whole movie...and yes it is a LOUD movie!! Especially if you aren't watching it.

Call me a sissy, I don't care!! It was VERY gory and sad!...The boyfriend LOVED it...I did enjoy the few times I looked up and saw the ripped stomachs...that was cool...:guitarist :wah:

I thought Braveheart and Gangs of New York were pretty gory...I'm not an action movie fan, but if the story is good, I can handle it...well usually.

The story line was good, thought the acting was good...graphics were really good. Just not a fan of blood squirting all over the place...

Yeah I prefer the light hearted goofy movies...I need a laugh....

I guess every once in a while to see an action drama is okay. I thought I could handle it...nope.

My Dad was SHOCKED when I told him that I LOVED "Pirates of the Carribean"...he couldn't believe it thought that the ghosts/pirates woul have me in the corner in fetal position for at least a week...:wah:

I heard that a lot, why I didn't hurt myself to watch the second one. I'm not a "big" movie person as you can tell....umm watched Braveheart probably 5-6 years after it was out...:-5

I'm not a supporter of the war in Iraq or present policy in Iran but if we really start worrying about offending the Iranians maybe we should ban the Olympics and most definitely not have a marathon in any shape or from. Me to Pinks exactly, I tried watching Hostel, Wolf Cree, Texas Chainsaw Masacre Bleck they are are awful.

I Loved 300 just saw it last nite. Very cool flick.

Considering the fact that I'm guilty of now leaving the theater twice during gory movies. I'll save my money and wait till it comes out on DVD.

Difficult to explain why I liked it, gore isn't always my fave thing either, but this had more of a fantacy flair to it, so the gore was almost comic book style.... didn't see as real life and disturbing. Almost terribly fake, but all in all the "art's and entertainment" value to me was spectacular.

enjoyable crap though if depressing, bit like a lot if scottish history. If it gets people interested enough to pick up a history book though so much the better. Thermopylae and the later battles are one of the events in history when you can say what happened affected the way we live today.
