I have one child, whom I love like crazy, however I feel as if in his teenage year of 15, I am doing a tour of duty, please advise!:wah: :

Oh, the great change - the I know everything man..
You can direct - not order - sure there are rules/boundaries - he'll push
Patients - bite your tongue - listen and read between the lines.
Hang in there - it'll get better - he's finding himself right now - just keep communication open without invading his area.
Tough time - tough age - tough all the around for everyone.
Good luck
Patsy

Having been there, and still dealing with a 22 year old with " Mood Swings",
my advice is... watch those mood swings carefully to make sure that they are from puberty and not indicitive of any other problem. Its very, very tough and trying to deal with.

Pick and choose your battles. Ask yourself each time you want to scream, is this really THAT important. When the answer is yes, don't back down.

If hes teetering on the proverbial fence in life, be sure you get a good running start before you push him to the right side.
Its hard to tell which way theyre going to go. By all rights I should have ended up in prison but the wind blew my way and I saved myself.
I could have used a little (lot) more help though. Thats your job.

Just remember how it was for you at 15. Then have sympathy for him.

Possessed, obsessed, fed up! Even missing shopping. Either my parents are getting it for me or I'm buying from Tesco online! I wanna walk around a shop. :-5

Teenage mood swings - also known as hell on earth!
Good luck, it will get better but at times you can't believe that. Brilliant advice from everyone else, just stay calm and remember in a few years you can take the mick out of him for the hell he puts you through now!

This reminds me of my son's girlfriends mom...the other day we were talking and I was sharing how the kids don't help as much as I'd like with cleaning, and she looked at me with a straight face and said "pick the battles you know you can WIN"....this is from a woman that owns and runs a daycare center!!:-4
IP, my heart goes out to you...I wonder how I made it this far with my three and really wonder that I should give advice...ha ....hair color is the best advice I have!!:p :-4

I can sometimes only look at him with my jaw dropped down and total blank stare
upon my face. How can they think it is other people!!
