As I've stated ad nauseum - I did not create ForumGarden to be a place where I had to babysit everyone. That's a ridiculous assumption.

To ask me to get involved in every single little squabble just doesn't make sense - nor do I have the time to do it.

BUT...maybe it is time to set up additional standards of conduct and have the moderators enforce them.

We don't need no more friggin rules or mods making arbitrary decisions about posts. I think you are doing a fantastic job Tombstone.

what happens on other forums ,fg is the only one i've ever really got involved in ,if people have fights does someone really play parent and send people to their rooms sort of thing ,i thought all in all the place was pretty ok ,yes some people dont like each other but apart from a few drive by name calling it was allright :driving: do we really want to go down the road where people are sin binned for a day for say getting a thread off topic or sin binned for a week for saying jimbo is a moron ,i mean i'm nearly a grown up now i dont need to be told when i'm naughty :wah: or do i:-3

I agree with you - and FG has been run since its inception as a place where the members *moderate* themselves.

As I wrote a couple of years ago: If I acted on every complaint from every person, FG would have zero members. Everyone would be banned!

And you know...that wouldn't work because the first person I would ban would be myself. :wah:

Perhaps we could have a 'You need your heads banging together' thread or an 'It's your turn for the naughty step' thread or a 'If you can't say something nice then get to your room' thread.

Id like to know how many complaints are against me. We could have a contest. Most complaints gets a free membership or maybe a couple hundred bucks and fancy bbq grill. A stainless steel one. With 2 burners on the side. With utensils. In a nice leather pouch. And maybe a side of beef. And a freezer to store it in.
