I almost hesitate to ask this but what would you like to see more/less of at FG?

I'd like to see more serious issues that I could sink my teeth into and see where other people stand. Except I don't post any because I'm afraid I'll run people off, considering how things seem kind of tentative lately.

My friend wants more talk of sports and I'm sick to death of word games.

Anyone? :-3

I think that a lot of people would like to see more serious topics brought up.

I think we are mature enough to handle controversial subjects. It used to be a large part of the forum. If you don't get replies right away it might just be because the people who want to discuss it aren't online at the moment. Just give it a bump once in awhile when it falls off the today's posts page.

Or get a friend to bump it for you.

I am looking at more health and wellness issues..especially for those of us older Boomers.

I know some people (not sure if any are here) are into Natural Healing..which I would like to learn more about.

Yes, serious topics, too. Serious does not necessarily need to be controversial. I think Health issues is pretty serious. To me, at least.

I rather like the lively discussions.

We seem to run at extremes. From very long posts of a philosophical nature that can cause a mental hernia to think and respond to, to pretty childish and boring no brainer type posts.

My preference is pretty broad and I hesitate to say I would like more or less of a particular topic. I would like to see more balance.

The wide range of opinions are interesting and at times educational - and not necessarily meant to run anyone out of FG.

I like the serious with the light hearted threads. A nice balance.

I would like to see more moderation, with the greatest of respect to those in charge.

No more innuendo.....please..or puns cause I can't do them and it's not fair! hmmphh..:yh_sad

I would like to know why our President is blamed for all the insurgent deaths of innocent people in Iraq.

I would like to see people use the rating system that is available for the different posts.

too right if you dont see what you want on the board start a thread about it ,you cant really expect other fg people to know what you want to yak about ,if you want it there and it aint there put it there i'm fed up with all this serious stuff i'm going to start up some light hearted stuff for the goofballs amonst us ,if you dont want to play along start your own doom and gloom threads :wah: :wah:

I think this site has everything going for it , Good Topics and interesting people .

I would like to expand on Pinks thread a little and agree with her here, and say I would like to see some more topics we can sink our teeth into and allow folks to not be afraid to start the threads they want.

then lets see the following

1) sticking to the topic so it's a good conversation

2) no knife throwing, while on the topic. Feel free to debate but let us not drag your momma, your ill sibling or your country into the topic as a sympathy vote or as a "burn" to others KEEP THE PERSONAL ATTACKS OUT!!! Let's be adult about these topics and being as we are all adults here I think we can do it.



Ok and what I would like to see in here

Keep the fun threads, look at the post counts yeah we have a lot of fluff, but there are folks who like fluff, let em post fluff.

Bring in the serious discussions freely and post to your hearts content as folks have already stated.

I think a general conversation area would be fun too, a gathering place where you can just jump in and have an open chat with anyone, or ressurect (sorry spelling) the pub, something were you can say hey how's your day what's new and anyone can join in like you were at a dinner party, seems a lot of our threads get that way and veer off topic. We have so many great members here who excell at putting out flare ups but then we find the threads topic fizzles and dies.....



Let's face it we all have topics we are passionate about, let's be allowed to post freely, and attack free and make them fly.
