Not having to pay bills.

Ok seriously, playing outside after dark, in the street, games of hide and seek, kick the can, etc. with no fear.

Playing outside at nights and watching the bats pass through the street lights.

Playing board games and reading comic books.

Sure, just try finding someone willing to play Camp Granada with you now! "Hello Mudda, Hello Fadda, here I am at Camp Granada. . . "

camping with my folks and my aunt and uncle and cousins

we would drive our ancient old truck and campers out to this ulta remote area and camp for the weekends every weekend, deep into the trees but the river and my dad, uncle and brother would fish, and mom and my aunt would visit and such and us girls used to go up onto this great hill and we had the entire side all mapped out as a cool kind of house and we spent hours up there playing. It was fantastic, and incredibly carefree.

The smile of my father at the dinner table, and him saying my name.

He died when I was 16.

So he missed all the good things, although I believe he knows all about them where he is in heaven.

My dad thought it would be funny to follow us.. My friend and I were talking about bears and what if one came out of the bushes and trees. what would we do.. Well after talking and laughing about it for about 10 minutes my dad jumped outta the bushes and yelled roarrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr... he scared the Sh*t outta us.. we screamed and ran for like 2 minutes and we realized it was him.. It so wasn't funny at that time but looking back at it now & laugh my butt off. He's done that 2 times.. lol :D

Going places with my grandfather. We used to go visit horse ranches. Also made frequent trips to the library, thrift stores, the dog pound, (yes the dog pound), church and little excursions for the day. This is what we did from the time I was a small child until he passed away when I was about 34. He and I were "a team" he said.

Does anyone here know or believe that the people who we once loved very much are in heaven and that they are watching us somehow and guiding us in our lives here on earth? I do think that my grandfather sees what I do and watches and tells me the right way to go.
