Oh this should be good...I'm off to my corner for a while....to think think think...like Pooh Bear!!

I'm understanding anyone can post a poem, and a poll at the end will be taken to pick the winner!

I'll let Pinky go even though she posted more than 10 lines

That means others can as well. I'll bump it up to 12 as that actually makes more sense for rhyming patterns anyway.

That was really clever of chonsi doing butterfly cinquain.

That's the challenge with talent shows is trying to compare such different styles.

I'm wondering, since the polls only take 10 options, if we should end each round as soon as we get 10 entries. So it ends in a week or 10 entries, whichever comes first? What do you think?

I don't mind splitting it into two polls or more to narrow it down. It means more threads to link together though. I think it's kind of interesting if people have to watch to make sure they get in before it's too late though. Keep 'em on their toes.

We've only got two more entries left in that case.

I would suggest that those who have committed poetry should not be allowed to vote.

I can somewhat assure that if I make it an open poll but what I'd rather do is insist that everyone who entered the contest MUST vote for themselves.

Why do we have to vote for ourselfs? I really liked someone elses.

we don't have to make that rule it's just that some people feel immodest if they vote for themselves then find out that someone else did. If one person wins by one vote then... modesty becomes an issue.

Pinky and chonsi are tied for the lead right now. Not enough voters though.
