Well i know i dont work full time,so i do nearly all the house, shopping well you how it is.What i wont do is clear up after any one, which i think is fair.Well i got uo this morning it looked like a bomb hit it.Yesterday we bathed the dogs so we put towels on both of are sofas, which by the end of the evening they fell on the carpet, which is ok as we all went off to bed.

But really made my blood boil is that hubby got up this morning 5'0clock which i dont know why has he did not start work until 7-30:-3 so why did he not think about picking the towels up and just tidy up the mess he made in the kitchen:confused:

From now on my new name is DOGS BODY,

:-6 Neffy, my hubby is the same - I just think they don't see it. If I leave him and the kids in the house for any length of time - when I get back the place is a complete tip!

typical...and not for all men, but I understand your frustration. I was married to a man like that and now trying to train my 3 sons to pick up after themselves is a FULL time job!!:-5 :-5

I hope your day got better Neffy, If I lived closer I'd come over and help you tidy up your home and give those doggies treats!!:-4

Hi mate,

I am really sorry that you are feeling really crap. I am afraid to say my other half is exactly like that too. They dont see the things that need doing. I only work part time because of a back injury, so i feel ok doing most of the housework. But sometines i really think i have doormat written across my forehead. I am thinking of you mate, i send my love. Dont let it get to you. I hope you day gets better.

Take care.

Argh most men are the same. Had a couple of boyfriends who were really great with housework, what a difference it makes!

My sons dad used to say that I should ask if I want help then when I did he'd say I was moaning! Jades dad says that he doesn't live here so why should he help, yet he doesn't mind eating and sleeping here.

What would happen if you brought this up to him?

This thread is kinda funny to me 'cause my fiance is the one who loves to clean and keep things tidy and I'm the one who's messy and disorganized! He says he can always find me by following the trail of my clothes, etc.! :p I do my best to keep things organized since it means a lot to him.

People just have different ways of going about things and different definitions of "tidy." I'd talk to hubby and see if you can get on the same page. Good luck!

How To Make Women Happy...

The Point System

(advice according to women)

In the world of romance, one single rule applies: Make the woman happy. Do something she likes and you get points. Do something she dislikes and points are subtracted. You don't get any points for doing something she expects. Sorry, that's the way the game is played.

Simple Duties:

You make the bed (+1)

You make the bed, but forget to add the decorative pillows (0)

You throw the bedspread over rumpled sheets (-1)

You leave the toilet seat up (-5)

You replace the toilet paper roll when it is empty (0)

When the toilet paper roll is barren, you resort to Kleenex (-1)

When the Kleenex runs out you use the next bathroom (-2)

You go out to buy her extra-light panty liners with wings (+5)

In the snow (+8)

But return with beer (-5)

You check out a suspicious noise at night (0)

You check out a suspicious noise and it is nothing (0)

You check out a suspicious noise and it is something (+5)

You pummel it with a six iron (+10)

It's her pet (-10)

Social Engagements At a Party:

You stay by her side the entire party (0)

You stay by her side for a while, then leave to chat with a college drinking buddy (-2)

Named Tiffany (-4)

Tiffany is a dancer (-6)

Tiffany has implants (-8)

Her Birthday:

You take her out to dinner (0)

You take her out to dinner and it's not a sports bar (+1)

Okay, it is a sports bar (-2)

And it's all-you-can-eat night (-3)

It's a sports bar, it's all-you-can-eat night, and your face is painted in all of the colors of your favorite sports team (-10)

A Night Out With the Boys:

Go with a pal (-5)

The pal is happily married (-4)

Or frighteningly single (-7)

And he drives a Mustang (-10)

With a personalized license plate that reads GR8 N BED (-15)

A Night Out:

You take her to a movie (+2)

You take her to a movie she likes (+4)

You take her to a movie you hate (+6)

You take her to a movie you like (-2)

It's called DeathCop 9 (-3)

Which features cyborgs that eat humans (-9)

You lied and said it was a foreign film about orphans (-15)

Your Physique:

You develop a noticeable potbelly (-15)

You develop a noticeable potbelly and exercise to get rid of it (+10)

You develop a noticeable potbelly and resort to loose jeans and baggy Hawaiian shirts (-30)

You say, "It doesn't matter, you have one too." (-800)

Communication: When she wants to talk about a problem:

You listen, displaying what looks like a concerned expression (0)

You listen, for over 30 minutes (+5)

You listen for more than 30 minutes without looking at the TV (+100)

She realizes this is because you have fallen asleep (-20)

The Big Question: She asks, "Do I look fat?"

You hesitate in responding (-10)

You reply, "Where?" (-35)

Any other response (-20)

To me it is not a man issue. To me this can be attributed to both sexes as there must be a few women out there like men. So you share a house with a person that you are in love. It is the fact that one partner could sit and watch the other partner doing many chores and not even offer to help. That is not what many call love. Love includes showing your love, showing your respect, showing your loyalty, showing compassion and thoughtfulness. You may be tired when you get in, but so is YOUR partner, dont be so self absorbed, help to do the stuff that needs doing. It actually gets done quicker. Do little bits like make a cuppa. One day do the hoovering. Ironing anything. Your partner will think you are amazing. A lot of partners are told well tell me what needs doing and i will do it, 1 you are an adult you shouldnt need TELLING what to do 2 Thoughtfullness is great just stop and look round the house and think i will do the washing up for my partner because i love her and i want to help. Talking to partners dont help sometimes. So dont talk tell them what you want changing. Explain how them sitting there and not helping is really hurtful, thoughtless and whether they mean it or not, it comes across as i cant be bothered with our relationship. I dont love you, as you have to be bothered to be in love. People may not say this stuff, but that is how your reactions are seen by the person you love, if you meant it or not, what does count is you are upsetting the person the person you love. Now do something about. If you dont then i my eyes you should go back and live with parents.

Take care.

So a "bra burner" is an independent, free-thinking, self-respecting woman, right? And what's wrong with that?

No one can call me a bra burner. Not because I'm not all of what I just listed.. but because I don't even wear 'em!! :sneaky:
