A Suspected outbreak of foot-and-mouth disease was discovered in pigs at a factory in County Carlow, Southern Ireland last night.

Veterinary inspectors at Ballon Meats in Carlow said yesterday that animals were displaying symptoms similar to those associated with the foot and mouth disease.

Hope it turns out ok, i knew a farmer who lost everything because of foot & mouth, very sad.

Paula, i think foot & mouth affects any animal that have cloven feet.
