The hangers I use to hang my shirts on leave shoulder nipples. Little bumps in the fabric where the hanger ends. I use the longest hangers available but theyre not long enough.
The other more obvious problem I have is that Im talking about this on the internet on a Sat. night,

I've seen padded hangers, and wooden ones that are thicker and smoother than the plastic ones. You could try those, they cost more but it may help solve your problem.
Also, most local stores like Target and Walmart sell irons as well

Nomad, you need padded hangers. If you can't find any, go buy some women's shoulder pads in the sewing section and fasten them to the shoulders of the hangers. That should work.

I hate shoulder nipples - I hate having to position them - they have a mind of their own.
I hate boring Saturday nights too.

I'm pretty convinced that the entertainment value of seeing Nomad attaching kotex with wings to his hangers would be worth the humiliation.
