Slipstream,we have an Astra Estate car through motability. They paid for us to have a hoist fitted in the back for my hubbies electric wheelchair. It has opened up a whole new world for us as far as getting out and about.

Go for it.

Slippy that would be so cool:) I have a motability car which has opened up the world for me!!!

I have an automatic car with a left foot excellerator and it's great:D

Cheers Jimbo:) I'm perhaps a little more fortunate in that I'm not wheelchair bound. I just have problems with my walking and balance. I walk with quite a bad limp and as a result I now have arthritis in my spine. I may need to start using sticks soon but if that's as bad as it gets then I am one lucky woman:-6

(Sorry!! Don't mean to whinge)

You have a great attitude PChick :-4 I know you are only young and it's hard trying to deal with have problems.

I was supposed to go for my wheelchair fitting today, but had to cancel as I have a stinking cold :-5 I find that I am unable to walk any distance now, so Jimbo's going to be pushing me around,
