I could care less about a flatscreen or big tv...to me it's a waste of money.
size doesn't matter....

When I move, I always end up leaving the TV behind.

I have a 20 year old 27" Zenith, a 20 year old 19" Sony, and a 30 year old (yes, thirty)13" Sears (Sanyo).
So, if I add them up, I have 59" of television !
The Zenith was purchased second hand at a moving sale, the Sony was plucked off the street on garbage night, and the Sears was purchased at a thrift shop for $3.00.
All work well, and none of them are used very much at all. I've grown to detest much of what is on TV, with a few exceptions.
Not looking to buy anything soon.

I listen to the radio. CBC (Canadian Broadcasting Corporation),. Commercial free, and even when it's not great, it's still about 10,000 times better than commercial radio. (Listening to a yowling tomcat is less annoying than most commercial radio stations.)
They air radio shows from around the world in the wee hours. The Australian Broadcasting Corporation comes on at 2:00 AM.

I have a freebie TV that someone gave me a few years ago. I basically use it for the screen, when I watch a movie, on ocassion. I think it is 25". I dont have cable, so I do not watch regular TV. The most productive years in my life have been those without TV in my home. I must admit that if I were wealthy, I would like one of those huge flat things that hang on the wall. The picture is incredible. It would be like having your own movie theatre. It is much more entertaining to go out and view life happening than it is to watch life on a screen though, so Im certain Ill never have one.

We have a Panasonic flat screen HD 48 inch, but only because it was given to us, my parents are getting a new one at Christmas, so we get their Samsung Flat screen HD 56 inch, it also has a thing on the side that you can stick a memory card in to view your pictures or camcorder bits. Just need to move to be able to fit it in the room

We did look at buying a big one, i myself never watch it but my partner is a big fan. Anyway turns out the home improvements went over budget & we still have the old one. when push came to shove it was not that big a priority for my partner, he prefers the roof
