My friend just joined FG and isn't a supporting member. But she just tried to reply to a post and got a message that she had to be a paying member to do that. What's the deal? Anyone?

was she trying to reply to a journal?
also I've had a few people ask why they can't post at all and it turned out they didn't respond to the account validation email.

You are trying to access an area or feature that is reserved for ForumGarden Supporting Members. Being a FG Supporting Member provides big benefits!

She shows up as a member though. Her screenname is "plagiarist."
Thank you.
