My friend just joined FG and isn't a supporting member. But she just tried to reply to a post and got a message that she had to be a paying member to do that. What's the deal? Anyone?

That doesn't sound right at all. Have her send us some info on where she was...

It should be pay to read threads if you aren't a member, you nosy lurkers.

was she trying to reply to a journal?

also I've had a few people ask why they can't post at all and it turned out they didn't respond to the account validation email.

I get that with some Journals.

Tombstone, she said she didn't recieve a validation email.

She shows up as a member though. Her screenname is "plagiarist."
