Our next-door neighbour advertised his car on ebay. Someone was interested and said they were going to come down from somewhere in the Midlands to see it and could they have his address, he gave to them but they didn't turn up when they said they would.



Couple of days later his wife heard a noise in the night outside and got up to look out and saw a couple of blokes walking round the house and a van parked outside, she must have put on a light or something 'cos they disappeared very quickly.



Certainly makes you think twice before doing anything like that.

I will reply to this thread with my thoughts on the subject, once you have sent me a cheque for 20,000 pounds (sorry US keyboard), cos I just sent you one in error for 30,000. And we agreed a fee of only 10,000, right?

It wouldn't happen to be a 1983, 300sd turbo diesel would it?

Unfortunately not, I used to own a 1983 300sd, and I am in a search for another one. Not that I could get it from Sweden to here if it had been one.
