Does it really exist?

Do you only come across it once in your life?

Can/should you settle for anything less?

Are true romantics just fools?

I had it once; enough to know I never doubted that it was what it was.

The other times were just good times.

Sorry for the introspective topics lately...it happens.

Yes, there is true love.

It lasts through the good times, and through bad.

You wake up in the morning, and smile that your beloved is there. And when I go somewhere, he smiles because he knows I am coming back.

True love is what you feel inside of your heart, and what they feel for you in return. Words are not necessary, because the connection is already there. Those things do not change, only the physical appearances and capabilities. The heart does not change.

Does it really exist?

Yes

Do you only come across it once in your life?

I hope you don't. You come across one that you want to keep nd it might stop, but you hopefully have more than one to remember.

Can/should you settle for anything less?

Settling is for pilgrims ~Lorie E (one of the first people to read my stories and reply, fine friend, beautiful woman)

Are true romantics just fools?

Well yeah, but that don't make it a bad thing. Being a true Romantic, hell just romantic has little to do with the true love thing in my opinion.

Totally my opinion.

I disagree with the only once thing, but like I said that is just me. Any woman I ever told I loved, i still love her today. True love like anything else has its degrees; some of those people may not have been in love, but if I said I was, then I was.

You don't have to contradict yourself. It is different for everybody; myself I am a hopeless romantic. I prefer the term militant romantic, but that would take some explaining. I've laid my thought on the subject out in dozens of stories. I'll speak through two others for a minute. True love is telling a person who you sang "natural Woman" too, who you thought would make a good father to your child, who made you feel like you were worth something, true love is telling that person good bye because you knew you were brining them down in a slow, dangerous way. True love is asking a man to marry you, telling him that he makes you feel like you found your other half, a man you told you would drive four hours right then just to make him feel better after a particularly bad story he had written, just to hug him and tell him it would be alright, true love is telling him that you can't marry him after all because you feel like it would stifle him, that he would never tell his stories like they should be told due to being content, and knowing because of that he would never do the things he had a need to do.

I have been a damn lucky man.

I like me, it took me a long time to get here. I enjoy being able to sleep at night. I used to be a a pretty mean person at times; not so much anymore. What you see here is just the tip of the iceberg, ugh I hate over used cliches. it isn't as simple as it sounds. I love my women, every one of them; all for different reasons. There ain't many i would take back, hell there probably ain't a one I would given enough time to think about it.

No offense meant what so ever with the upcoming statement. You're 17, give it time. Age has nothing to do with true love except that you have had less time to experience things.

I believe there are great loves of your life but I don't think it's a once in a lifetime type of thing or that it's limited to romantic love either. :-6
