I've always been a firm believer in the fact that integrity goes further than anything else, so my suggestion would be to just tell them exactly what it is you yourself is looking for, and the fact, given your own competence, in which I'm quite sure cannot be rivaled by many, along with your promise that illustrates quite blatantly given your obvious desire in wanting the job can benefit themselves as an organization...

Don't panic Suzy;)
Have they given you ANY idea what you should include??
I wonder if they are asking you to tell them why you would be suitable for the job??

Being that I have done personnel, I would say they are looking to see if you are a strong individual. Just be yourself and relax, you will be fine. Talk about some of your goals you would like to achieve in the company. Why you would be a benifit to them. What you hope to achieve from working for them and so on. Good luck!

Start taking stock of all the good and worthy traits you possess; being a good mom, good friend, honest person, always willing to learn more, yada, and don't be modest. You are expected to present yourself in the best light possible in a way that will make them see why they want to hire you. You need to do this to show them why you are competent.

Ha! No not at all. It means leave your humility at home. I know it sounds impossible to do for a whole five minute lot but it isn't once you get on a roll. And smile warmly. Smiles help you get in the door.

Don't get too hung up on the five minutes-you're not likely to be penalised for taking less and waffling makes you sound unsure of yourself so don't try and spin it out and it will seem like an eternity anyway. Practice out loud several times don't just imagine doing it.
Ask questions, after all you are interviewing them as well to see if you want to work there.

Be confident - indicate what you can contribute - and what a asset you are.
Smile and be yourself - I've been hired just for my smile.
Make sure you understand the Company and their goals.
Every Company wants Harmony - meaning their process running smooth
ensuring Harmony with a smile..

Oh my goodness I've never heard of that. 5 minutes is a long time too. Maybe get Jim to help you by writing about you, you could take bits from that.

Do a little research into their company so you can turn tables on them and ask *them* something about their history. I always do this and it's always seemed to work.

Well, you could go with something like what do they claim as the reason for their well known competence with patients. I might not be making sense. It's still early here.

Include how you feel about different things. Include observations on if your life turned out the way you expected it to. etc...
