As I've had a few to drink tonight, I got to wondering.
What makes you want to get drunk? Do you drink to get drunk? Do you think getting drunk is a bad thing? Would love to hear why other people do what I do sometimes! Or, you can disregard this whole post altogether, since I'm probably not making much sense! :wah:

Geez is this an f-ing topic for me or not. The only reason I want to drink is to get drunk............but then there are so many things going on I can't get drunk. Getting drunk is only a bad thing if it causes probems. I'm with you on this subject. I was AA for 4 years thinking I was an alcoholic. I might still be an alcoholic. The problem was hanging out with ex-alcoholics. I realized I just liked alcohol. I never had DT's. I never craved alcohol. I never screwed anyone because of alcohol. So now I think I'll go back to smoking pot...........:yh_rotfl

Almostwent and I had a bite to eat tonight, i said I was going to hold myself to a one drink limit, but I had four vodka tonics and a margarita. I was buzzed, but far from drunk. I'm an old pro though. I don't need to get drunk, that was the first drink I have had in a month, and had gone 90 days before the last I had. The day before I took the three month sabbatical I had 22 White Russians - tall. Comes and it goes. I was ready to ask directions on how to get there tonite, but decided not to go. <------------------;)

You started it; it's fair game now. Enjoy the innuendo. You don't scare me either; even with your new title.

Alright, I'm going to sleep. The margarita was just enough; I miss these nights of "just enough to make me sleepy" drinks. Thanks for the fun, come again.

Drinking's not my thing for the most part. I get uncomfortable around too much of it. I grew up with an alcoholic parent and drunkass friends and relatives and I still have a little "bad feeling residue" to work off. I've worked hard on it though for years and I'm not nearly as uptight about it as I once was. A few margaritas, white wine or champagne is nice but you'll never see me losing any control. That's the way I like it. I take hydrocodone to get away from things so I'm no lily. I just have a different "vice."
