Yesterday afternoon two young girls came to my door ( 10/11 yrs old ) and asked me if they could sing me a beautiful song , as I was busy preparing a meal for Pat I told them that my wife was ill and I did not have the time to listen , they then offered to come in and sing for her , I could have said yes but I did not , why , what if these two young girls had gone missing some time doing what they were doing and people had seen them coming in to my home , could you imagine the hassle I would have had , that is why I say they were silly to do it in today's climate

I wouldn't be letting my young girls go door to door alone even to sell cookies. That may be too uptight but you don't know who would snatch them right into the house. In fact, I wouldn't let my boys go either up to a certain age.
Wonder if their parents knew.

Ohhh....right. Things may not be there the way they are in U.S. That was a kneejerk reaction on my part.

Talking of Wales - did you know the price of lamb has gone up there?
It's now £15 an hour.
Back on topic-
I agree - they are either very silly girls or up to no good.
