Hurrah, hurrah, hooray!

He's going today,

He's going today,

Hurrah, hurrah, hooray!

The bugger's still got some idea that he's done good, though. Where he will go now is a moot point. I hope the outrages that he perpetrates will be limited.

It would be interesting to know why you have this negative impression of the chap. I'm as guilty of intolerant loathing myself - with Margaret Thatcher, for example - but I do think I have good reason for it. What's Tony Blair's besetting sin? I think he's done pretty well, though his traditional backing for the US adventure lacked backbone.

That's it?

The telegraph does have a somewhat selective readership, after all.

As a side-note, the Queen is now currently - if only for a short while - in charge of administration of the UK, as well as being Head of State.

No, it's a stack of emotive opinion stuck onto a right-wing comment area with the most marginal discussion of events. I thought we might consider events rather than feelings.

I would be inclined to agree with you about Thatcher but I detest Tony Blair even more. At least she was fairly honest in her dealings. I don't know of any occasion where she deliberately lied to parliament.

There is little doubt that TB deliberately altered the wording of intelligence reports to make the case for invading Iraq. What really PIS*&*^&S me off is that once it became incontrovertible that that had in fact happened parliament stood by and did nothing. Labour MP's wanting to hold on to their seat at the expense of any kind of integrity. He may have acted like a president but the PM does not have presidential powers it is parliament that is sovereign not the PM or his cabinet. The irony is we have an unelected house of Lords protecting our civil liberties from a parliament controlled by TB and his cohorts.

Effectively he has destroyed the labour party just as Thatcher destroyed the Tory party. membership is half what it was ten years ago I know die hard party members that have ripped up their membership cards-doesn't matter of course because big business is pumping in money now if we're not careful we will end up with a political system where money talks and ordinary people get ignored.

Now I see he is going to be a middle east peace envoy. Do you really think anyone in the middle east will take him seriously? Would you trust him.

He's a liar, a crook and self seeking delusional cretin with illusions of greatness I can't believe anyone thinks he has anything to be proud of. I don't care what good he can claim to have done His legacy is the Iraq war and the loss of British prestige in the world people will remember however much he wants to believe otherwise.

With a bit of luck Gordon Brown might lose his seat at the next election. It was one of the most left wing constituencies in Scotland.
